You know this game, right? Three truths and a Lie? It’s an ice breaker. You’ve probably played it at a conference, meeting, or retreat as a fun way to introduce yourself to the other people in the room, and to learn about their lives. I thought it might be a good way to reintroduce myself to you, today.
You see, I’ve been in hiding for a while. It’s been over a year since I posted a blog. And this summer, after the shock of the Brexit result, and the disturbing nature of a certain presidential candidate in the US elections, I was worried, world-weary, and wound up so tightly that I couldn’t take it any more. I even de-activated my Facebook account for a time. I needed a break.
But I really missed my writing community, and so I’m back and with a whole new format. But before I relaunch the website & blog in November, it’s time for a little howdy-do.
Here we go.
Three truths and a Lie
1. As a born-in-the-north Canadian living in The Netherlands, I love to ice skate. Especially backwards, around a rink. It feels like flying.
2. I’m a nationally certified Physical Trainer who managed a gym and a team of personal trainers within the last five years.
3. I love sailing and have captained sailing trips in the Mediterranean, the Adriatic, and the Caribbean Seas.
4. I’m a writer, represented by agent at one of the finest Literary agencies in New York.
Anyone willing to guess?
